Interview with Ronnie Vannucci from NME

The Killers’ Ronnie Vannucci gets tips off his bandmates for his ‘Big Talk’ project – video

The Killers‘ drummer Ronnie Vannucci has told NME the rest of the band gave him some handy advice during recording sessions for his solo project Big Talk and the debut album of the same name.

The sticksman said he would often consult his bandmates for tips in a video you can watch below.

“We share a studio so we’d see each other or I’d send them demos and I’m like ‘What do you think? I’m at a crossroads, What do you think of this b-section’,” he said. “So yeah we showed each other stuff.”Next Previous

Vannucci also revealed that singer Brandon Flowers offered him some tips on touring.

Brandon said I should go and play some coffee houses or unannounced gigs and I haven’t done that yet but I’m going to,” he added.

Vannucci teamed up with his friend Taylor Milne and former Weezer bassist Matt Sharp to make the record, which is due out on July 11.

Brandon Flowers Where It’s At Festival Review from Kulturbloggen

Brandon Flowers bjuder på popmagi (WTAI)

Band: Brandon Flowers
Scen: High Voltage Stage
Betyg: 4

Band: Brandon Flowers
Scene: High Voltage Stage
Rating: 4

The Killers singer is arguably the festival’s Best Dressed, and unlike the other bands that played on Where The Action Is Opened Brandon Flowers with his strongest song Crossfire.

After the strong opening with Crossfire and Magdalena loses the concert a bit of strength to not come back until the final two songs, Only the Young, and Mr.. Brightside. For those of you who are not so familiar with The Killers as belonging to Mr.. Brightside their most popular songs.

The mood in the songs is very very 80’s. It mostly sounds like something plucked out of the soundtrack from some mastodontfilm from that particular time, which of course affects the impression of the concert.

No matter how professional and impeccable behavior than Brandon Flowers offers is undeniable that his solo career will always be overshadowed by The Killers. Now that the band also reunited wants to host it, perhaps to some extent unconsciously, after more The Killers songs instead.
