The Killers at the VMAs

The Killers (well, we know Ronnie for sure) are currently in Los Angeles for the VMAs.  Ronnie tweeted a couple of pictures from Hollywood on his Big Talk account and a Victim ran into him buying socks in a store!  The VMAs will be broadcast tonight on at 9pm on MTV2 in the US and in the UK from 8pm on Monday.

Hopefully we will get to see The Killers accept their award for Best VMA Rock Performance. MTV have a breakdown of the results of that vote, here.

The Killers Win the MTV Award for Best VMA Performance

After weeks of frantic voting and battling with the Blink 182 fans (Blinkers as we have affectionately come to call them), voting closed in the VMA Showdown with The Killers taking the award for Best VMA Rock Performance for Mr Brightside in 2005, with 46.82% of the vote. Well done everyone. The results will be announced in the lead up to the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards which will air live from Los Angeles on Sunday.

Voting is well underway in the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards and the Killer’s are up for Best Rock Performance for Mr. Brightside in 2005. Voting closes noon 24 August, so get voting by clicking on THIS LINK. And do it until your fingers bleed.

The awards will be shown live n 28 August, 9pm on MTV.

Update: The votes are almost equally shared out between Blink 182 and The Killers, with Blink 182 just in the lead. Seriously, unless one of the other bands has a massive last minute fan campaign there is no way anyone else can win. So let’s make sure it’s our boys. VOTE VOTE VOTE.
